Billy Joel
“The Last Play at Shea” Movie Premiere
Presented by Newsday & 4 New York

Saturday August 21, 2010 8:00PM

On July 16 and 18, 2008, Billy Joel performed the last two concerts ever to be held at Shea Stadium. This documentary, which premiered at the 2010 Tribeca Film Festival, weaves together the stories of three New York icons – Billy Joel, Shea Stadium and the New York Mets – celebrating their legacies and capturing the historic sold out concerts that enthralled the city. Joined by Special Guests Tony Bennett, Garth Brooks, John Mayer, Roger Daltrey, Steven Tyler and Sir Paul McCartney, Shea Stadium’s musical send-off was a fitting tribute to the venue that hosted select concert events over the years, most notably The Beatles in 1965.

On August 21 relive THE LAST PLAY AT SHEA, as Citi Field hosts the largest outdoor movie presentation since 1919.
